The Bego Fund was created to honor the memory of Begonia Alvarez Fernandez. “Bego” as she was known to her family and friends was the beloved wife of Santiago, mother of Sarah Ashley and Rebecca Ema, daughter of Angela, grandaughter of Delfina, niece of Pepe, Luis, Felix and Ramiro.

While the words and pictures you will find here will never capture the love, energy, beauty, integrity and pure joy that Bego brought to the lives of everyone she touched, hopefully this place will help her friends and family honor her memory and watch her legacy grow. I encourage all her friends and family that visit the site to sign the guestbook and share their most special memory of Bego with the rest of us.

In addition to her family and friends, Bego really treasured two things in life: education and kids. The Bego Fund was set up to cherish and nurture these values. The Fund’s primary goal will be to award a highschool and college scholarship each year. In addition, the Fund may also donate to children related charities, especially those helping under-privileged children.
